Hyndle Legal
Terms of Use
These terms govern your access to Hyndle-operated websites and interfaces and your use of reservation, registration, renewal, resolution, and related features.
Last updated: August 18, 2026
1. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Hyndle Labs Ltd. (“Hyndle”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using a Hyndle-operated website, application, API, test environment, or interface (collectively, the “Interface”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Interface. If you use the Interface for an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Eligibility and legal compliance
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher, and legally capable of entering into these Terms. You may not use the Interface if doing so would violate applicable law.
You represent that you are not a person or entity subject to applicable sanctions, located or organised in a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction where use is prohibited, or using the Interface for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, evasion, or other unlawful conduct.
3. The Hyndle protocol and Interface
Hyndle provides software interfaces for requesting, registering, renewing, managing, resolving, and transferring blockchain-based names. Registered names may be represented as ERC-721 tokens. Smart contracts and public blockchain networks may continue to operate independently of the Interface.
The Interface is one way to interact with relevant smart contracts. We do not control Base, Ethereum, wallet software, block producers, validators, third-party marketplaces, RPC providers, or other independent systems.
4. Wallets and account security
You are solely responsible for selecting and securing your wallet, private keys, seed phrase, devices, passwords, and recovery methods. Hyndle does not custody your wallet credentials and cannot recover a lost private key or reverse a transaction authorised by your wallet.
Review every signature and transaction before approval. A compromised wallet may result in permanent loss of a name or other digital assets.
5. Cookies, browser storage, and analytics
The Interface uses essential cookies and browser storage for authentication, security, preferences, consent state, and recovery of pending transactions. Disabling or clearing essential storage may sign you out, reset preferences, or interrupt browser-assisted recovery, but it cannot cancel a transaction already submitted to a blockchain.
Optional analytics is controlled by your cookie preference and is not required for reservations, payments, or minting. Our Cookie Policy explains these technologies and how to change your selection.
6. Reservations and review
A reservation request does not create ownership, a property right, a name hold, or a guarantee that a name will be approved or minted. More than one user may request the same available name. Within an availability round, the first valid on-chain reservation payment confirmed under the protocol rules proceeds to review; competing requests may become superseded. Hyndle may approve, reject, expire, block, or require additional review of a request to protect users, third-party rights, protocol integrity, or legal compliance.
A reservation fee is a separate, non-refundable protocol fee for submitting and processing the request, except where a refund is expressly required by applicable law. Paying a reservation fee does not guarantee approval, availability, registration, or future value.
Name availability can change while a transaction is pending. Priority and final status are determined by the applicable smart-contract rules and confirmed blockchain state, not solely by what the Interface displays.
7. Registration, renewal, and expiration
An approved reservation must publish a valid commitment within its stated approval window and reveal it within the contract and authorization deadlines. Approval and commitment do not make you the owner. Ownership begins only when the relevant mint transaction succeeds on-chain.
Names are registered for a selected term and require renewal. You are responsible for monitoring expiration. A grace period may permit renewal after expiration, but once the applicable grace period ends a name may become available for reclaim by another user. We are not responsible for a missed renewal, failed transaction, network congestion, or loss resulting from expiration or reclaim.
8. Fees, gas, and taxes
You are responsible for reservation, registration, renewal, and other fees shown by the Interface or enforced by smart contracts, together with network gas charged by the underlying blockchain (Base, or another network the Interface indicates it is using). Gas is paid to network participants and may be incurred even when a transaction fails.
Prices denominated in ETH can change substantially in fiat value. You are responsible for determining and paying any taxes, duties, or reporting obligations arising from your activity.
9. Blockchain and smart-contract risks
Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible. Smart contracts may contain defects, networks may reorganise or fork, RPC services may fail, transaction ordering may change, and third parties may front-run or censor transactions. Regulatory or technical changes may affect availability, transferability, utility, or value.
Testnet, beta, staging, and preview services are provided solely for testing. Test assets and names have no promised value, may be reset or discontinued, and must not be treated as production assets.
10. Names, content, and third-party rights
You are responsible for every name you request, register, resolve, display, or transfer. Registration does not grant trademark, publicity, copyright, or other rights in the corresponding word, identity, business, or brand.
You must not use a name or resolver record to impersonate another person, mislead users, facilitate phishing, infringe intellectual property, distribute unlawful content, or violate another person’s rights. Hyndle may restrict access through its Interface where reasonably necessary, although it may be unable to alter valid on-chain state.
11. Prohibited conduct
- interfering with, overloading, probing, or disrupting the Interface or its security controls;
- circumventing access restrictions, authentication, sanctions controls, rate limits, or name-protection rules;
- using malware, automated abuse, deceptive transactions, or unauthorised access;
- using the Interface to steal, launder, conceal, or unlawfully transfer assets;
- misrepresenting affiliation with Hyndle or using Hyndle marks contrary to the Trademark Guidelines; or
- encouraging or assisting another person to do any of the above.
12. Third-party services and marketplaces
The Interface may link to wallets, explorers, marketplaces, hosting providers, or other third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices apply independently. Hyndle does not endorse or control them and is not responsible for their availability, security, pricing, conduct, or enforcement of royalties.
13. Intellectual property
Hyndle and its licensors retain all rights in the Interface, software, documentation, designs, logos, wordmarks, and other materials, except for rights expressly granted under an applicable open-source licence. These Terms do not grant a licence to use Hyndle trademarks. Permitted trademark use is described in the Trademark Guidelines.
14. Availability, suspension, and changes
We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Interface, including for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every wallet, network, marketplace, or device.
15. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE INTERFACE AND ALL RELATED MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. HYNDLE DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND SECURITY.
Nothing on the Interface is legal, tax, investment, financial, or other professional advice. No statement is a promise that a name or digital asset will retain or increase in value.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HYNDLE AND ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR DIGITAL ASSETS; OR LOSSES ARISING FROM BLOCKCHAIN ACTIVITY, WALLET COMPROMISE, EXPIRATION, RECLAIM, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, OR UNAUTHORISED ACCESS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HYNDLE’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE INTERFACE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES PAID DIRECTLY TO HYNDLE THROUGH THE INTERFACE DURING THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, so these limitations apply only to the extent lawful.
17. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hyndle and its affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Interface, breach of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or names and content you submit or control.
18. Governing law and disputes
Our governing law and dispute-resolution forum are still being finalized and will be published here before public launch. Until then, any dispute should first be raised through good-faith written negotiation by contacting info@hyndle.app.
19. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganisation or transfer of the Services.
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and updating the date above. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Questions may be sent to info@hyndle.app.
